John Muchovej
Computational cognitive scientist and educator.
I'm a PhD student advised by Julián Jara-Ettinger in the Computational Social Cognition Lab .
My research interests are primarily in multi-agent systems and agent representation, asking questions like:
- How do we represent and reason about others? (Computationally we usually use vectors, but it seems unlikely that humans actually do this.)
- How do we manage to perform social cognition on the variety of people we encounter every day?
- Do we build agent-specific models for social cognition? If so, what does that look like?
I use tools from computer science and artificial intelligence to study these questions in humans through behavioral experiments.
